God and the Big Bang is a Young Scientist Conference aimed primarily at sixteen to eighteen year old science students. The core purpose of the day long conference held at a school is to demonstrate the compatibility of science and faith.

Each Conference is structured with four one hour slots:

- A keynote address by a leading scientist who is also a Christian

- A science demonstration

- An interactive science activity

- A Q&A session with the three speakers/presenters (all of whom are Christian believers)

God and the Big Bang seeks to demonstrate that it is possible to be a scientist and a Christian by bringing Christians in the science community into contact with students studying science. It also seeks to support teachers in both science and religious education as they grapple with the issues.
